A timestamp is a copyright service offered on the Kangxin IP Platform that provides a simple, cost-effective way of securing a legal document establishing proof of recordal of an original artwork. Compared to the traditional copyright recordal, obtaining a trusted timestamp is much cheaper and faster, resulting in a document that can be used as evidence with the same legal effect in copyright dispute cases.

Once your application is submitted, you will be able to download two documents, a .tsa and a .pdf certificate. The timestamp certificate is a legally valid electronic voucher issued by the UniTrust Time Stamp Authority. It effectively proves that the electronic file of the timestamp application is valid from the time of application and the contents remain intact and have not been changed.
